Opened on July 1, 2014, Mingyue Park is located to the north of Jingzhou City Wall, south of Jingsha Avenue. It stretches from the junction of Jingsha Avenue and Jingzhou Avenue to the original Red Brick fishery near Small North Gate. Mingyue Park has a planned total area of 2.53 hectares, including 6.51 hectares of vegetation space and 1189 hectares of water area. In the park, several bridges such as the Qiusuo Bridge, Mingyue Bridge, Wangyue Bridge, Longfeng Bridge offer splendid spots to enjoy the spectacular views there.Wandering on the bridge and shuttling through the moat and ponds, people seem to walk around in pieces of paintings. Nature and humanity within the park interact with each other brilliantly and harmoniously.

The landscape in the park is composed of "one ring, two belts and four districts": "one ring" for the main road of the scenic area, "two belts" referring to the sculpture landscape belt in the north of the scenic area, the Folk landscape Belt in the south of Jingchu, and "four districts" for Jingchu celebrity district, Mingyue scenic spot, love park and Jingchu folk area.

Abundant vegetation world

Being the national-level wetland park, Mingyue park preserves the original pond and historical features, restores the original water system, and creates a wetland and echoes the ancient city wall like a jade belt embracing the ancient city wall. There are 80 varieties totaling about 10,000 species of large and small trees planted in the park, including the major varieties such as crape myrtle, sakura, cherry, lotus, ginkgo, white magnolia and etc.
